It's time to graduate from conventional foams and gels as they are not only bad for the environment, but for our skin too! Chock-full of nasty ingredients, they are also packaged in material that often ends up in landfills.

This shaving soap is clean and natural, but that does not for a moment mean it's any less effective or convenient than what you may be used to using. When used with a shaving brush (which we also sell,) this soap creates a rich and thick lather that feels amazing under your razor. The Bentonite Clay that is added creates that extra ‘slip’ needed for a comfortable shave, and the Tea Tree Oil will help sterilize and disinfect any nicks made along the way too. Tea Tree is also what gives this soap its neutral and refreshing scent.

The natural nature of this soap may cause some razors to get 'gummed' up. We always suggest trying to switch to a safety razor. Though it can some getting used to, it is well worth it! It's an eco-friendly razor that will save you money in the long run, as you only need to replace the actual blades, verses the entire razor.

How to Use

Preparation: Start by soaking your shaving brush in warm water for a few moments. This softens the bristles and prepares them for creating a rich lather. Wet your face: Splash some warm water on your face or use a damp towel to open up your pores and soften the beard hairs. This helps in achieving a smoother shave. Load the brush: Shake off excess water from the brush and swirl it over the surface of the shaving soap. Use gentle pressure to load the brush with soap. You'll notice the bristles picking up the soap and starting to form a lather. Create lather: Move the loaded brush to a shaving bowl or directly to your face (depending on your preference) and begin whipping the brush in circular motions. Add a few drops of water as needed to achieve a creamy and thick lather. Continue whipping until you have enough lather to cover the areas you plan to shave. Apply lather to your face: Using the brush, apply the lather evenly onto your beard area using circular motions. Ensure that all parts of your beard are well-covered with lather. This step also helps to lift the hairs for a closer shave. Shave: Proceed with your shaving routine using a sharp razor. Shave carefully in the direction of hair growth, rinsing the razor frequently to keep it clean. Rinse and moisturize: Once you've completed shaving, rinse your face thoroughly with cool water to close the pores. Pat your face dry with a clean towel and apply a suitable aftershave or moisturizer to soothe the skin. Clean your brush: Rinse your shaving brush well under running water to remove any remaining lather. Gently squeeze out excess water and allow the brush to air dry in a well-ventilated area, ideally with the bristles facing down to maintain their shape.
